Watch Party Success! What Next?

Deirdre and Helen, one of the couples featured in We Found Love In The 80s project

On 2nd October 2020, 7.30pm we screened the premiere of We Found Love In The 80s film as a live online watch party programmed for Barbican's produced festival, Leytonstone Loves Film. 275 people tuned in and simultaneously watched the film.

As a throwback to the 1980s - you could only watch it once at a scheduled time. Remember those days?

If you missed it, fear not - we will screening it again. Sign up to the mailing list and we'll keep you posted (we promise not to send you spam or share your information).

We all felt quite chuffed to have so many people tune in to the watch party, followed by the live Q&A between Dawinder Bansal and Martyn Ware.

There will be some live and thematic Q&A's as part of the next screening - so please do keep in touch.

In the meantime, here's some feedback from people who joined the watch party.

A BIG THANK YOU to all our couples for sharing their stories with such honesty. You are the stars of this show.

A very heartwarming thanks to the team, Dawinder Bansal, Martyn Ware, Anthony Davies, Dee Patel, Charles Stooke, Asa Bennett and Lara Deffense who have worked incredibly hard to make this project come to life. Thank you to the commissioners and our funders.

Lots of love to you all! x
